As an avid supporter and lifelong enthusiast of various genres of music and the arts, Founder Gary Washington, realized that it was time for him to walk to “the beat of his on drum” after his uncontained passion for music led him to host free annual music and art showcases that featured local talents. After receiving an overwhelming response from attendees, he was convinced that there was an emerging need to keep the culture of music and arts alive. Gary soon began walking to “the beat of his own drum”, thus birthing Straight Ahead Entertainment.
